Elie Saab has recently put on display their autumn/winter collection at fashion week. The theme for this year was dark opulence, compared to last years botanical theme, models graced the cat walk in sleek, figure hugging designs. Their haute couture and dresses could not be more prettier if they tried. Let's take a look at some of the stand out pieces.
Ready to wear:
Haute couture :
The make up was pretty basic. Bronzed eyeshadow with a gold liner and neutral lips. Bronzer brushed along cheek bronze to finish the look and elongate the face.

So today's post is about fashion. I love watching the runway shows and seeing how designers are so creative in expressing their garments. It's truly a gift.
Raf Simons is the brain behind the beauty with this Dior runway collection. Over the last few years he has worked hard to portray femininity in a masculine world which has lead to some amazing collections. This one is no different.
A standout piece in the runway was the bar jacket. It mirrored that of the 1947 Dior runway. But as always the dresses were beautiful.
Now for the beauty aspect.
It was dramatic. Make up artists described it as "glitter on latex" and that literally was it.
First layers of latex were painted on the eyelid. Once partially dry powder pigments from one of two Dior pallets (soon to be released) were painted on. Topped of with loose glitter pigments. The look was finished with a bit of Dior gloss.
