This week im jumping in on the #nzblogger's blog greatness challenge and it is to take 'Celebrity Inspired' and interpret it in your own way.
This challenge is particularly fun for me as I love seeing what trends the celebs are wearing and if im game enough to wear them myself.
Lauren Conrad is a BABE. She not only runs an awesome blog but has her own clothing line and has come a long way since the days of The Hills.

Yellow is such a fabulous summer colour and the style of this dress is known as skater girl dress. I find these dresses particularly flattering on most people. They suit me a lot because I have quite big hips the skater girl doesn't cling to and it also allows for my big chest area.
You can pair this dress with some killer gladiator sandals to make for a cheap and fashionable outfit.

If there is one Kardashian that I love throughout all the drama, it's Khloe. She's funny, witty and has curves in all the right places and I genuinely love watching KUWTK just to see what shes up to.
I also find that her make up is always presented really neatly. Now, I know she has a glam team at the click of her fingers but here i've taken basically the same colour's and applied them in an everyday way that everyone can do. Also, these product's are considered 'drugstore' so everyone can afford them!
Firstly, ACE YOUR BASE -
Make sure you get your base right. It needs to be smooth and flawless. After apply Garnier Perfect Blur on my face, I covered it with Rimmel London Lasting Perfection in Ivory and then used a beauty blender to apply ELF Conceal and Highlight concealer over my pimples and to my under eye area.
For the eye's I have used Make Up Revolution's pallet which is a dupe for Naked 2. I started by using a primer on my eyelids (ELF Conceal and Highlight) then applied shade 1 all over the base, shade 2 on the outer lid and shade 3 on the inner corners and lower lash line. Brows were filled in using elf brow kit in medium with an angled brush. Lashes were coated in three coat's of Maybelline's The Rocket mascara.
A spot of blush was added to the apples of the cheeks only, using The Balm Hot Mama to give added subtle pop of colour.
As you can see ok khloe she has a pretty strong contour, especially on the upper sides of her forehead. I used an unbranded contour pallette to apply a heavy amount to my forehead, and also just under my cheekbones. This can be picked up on ebay for a couple dollars.
Finally, I have used this forever 21 lip gloss to give shine to my lips. This only cost about $3 from the manilla forever 21 and gave just the right and mount of gloss for the look. Everything in this look was set using Natio's loose powder in Light.

Recently a post by the fantastic Natalie from The Moon Moth asked if anyone was interested in a Disney Inspired Link Up post and I jumped at the chance to do so!
I've done my own interpretation of Princess Belle's make up.
As you can see, I have kept the yellow/gold tone's, which represent her, by using my gold eye shadow. Winged eye liner is always fit for a princess, as is curly hair. My flawless base was created using Rimmel London Lasting Finish foundation in Ivory Lashe's were coated with three coats of Maybelline - The Falsie's and ELF's Facial Whip was used as a highlighter to give that radiant glow.
For my soft lip colour, I have mixed a 'Soft Brown' from City Color and a dab of MAC's Asian Flower. I really like the end effect of this lip colour as it's soft and smooth.
This was really fun to create and I think that anyone can do it, so im not going to sit here and tell you how step by step, as the beauty of recreating look's is interpretting it in your own beautiful way.

Lorde is such an inspiring New Zealander. At such a young age she is more successful than so many other artist, she has such great moral's and speaks her mind. And if that hasn't convinced you how great she is, she's also bff's with T Swift (So jealo).
Im super lucky to be able to show you how to get her look that she wore last week to The Grammy's.
I like to think that Lorde and I have a connection on some level, curly haired sisters!! Haha.

The main point of Lorde's classic look is her Vampy Red Lip. As you beautiful readers will know, a red lip is my staple go to took as it never ages. I will always choose a red lippy and it matches any outfit.
To achieve her spicy red lips, apply Megawatt Lipstick in Red Rays first. I was really impressed with how easy it was to manouver over your lips. It glides on easily and you have about 5 seconds to fix any mistakes before it sets.
Next, go over your lips with a swipe of The Elixer in Scarlet. These are some of the most popular lip products on the market at the moment and I understand why. It is such a gorgeous colour and I can't believe that i'm saying this, but it may be my new favourite red! It appears quite glossy but isn't sticky at all.

And for the eyes, take the Master Graphic Liner and draw a line across your upper eyelid. At your outer corner, angle the liner towards the brow for a small winged look.
