If there is one colour that I feel like it's always acceptable to wear, it's a nice purple. A few years ago people would have looked at you like you were odd if you wore a colour like purple on your lips but now there are more shades of purple out there than you can count on one hand.
Karen Murrell has brought out her seventh lippy and it's in the shade Fushcia Shock. It is a light fuschia colour that is buildable with about 4 hour wear.
The pigmentation is not very strong, so on the postitive side it lets you build to the brigthness that you prefer. I generally swipe a couple times to get a strong purple colour as it is my preferred shade.

Red Shimmer is inspired by the flowers on a pohutukawa tree and is just as beautiful as you imagine. It glides on smoothly and dries to a semi matte finish like all of the other Karen Murrell Lipsticks I've tried.
As soon as you swipe this on your lips you will fall in love. It is such a beautiful colour and has the classic cinnamon smell to it. I found that it did take five minutes to dry and it transfered a little onto my coffee cup.

Karen Murrell is the latest lipstick brand I have fallen in love with. With a slogan like 'Nothing nasty touches my lips' you can't help but rest assured that these lipsticks are nothing but the highest quality.
I recently reviewed True Love which you can read here, and it has become my holy grail red and today I have Violet Mousse in my hot little hands for you.
Violet Mousse is a pinky/violet toned lipstick designed to suit everyone's skin type.

Violet Mousse is not tested on animal's and also contains cinnamon, avocado oil and caranauba wax - the most important thing because it means your lipstick won't melt in your handbag.
When I wear Violet Mousse, it looks like a soft brown. I love pairing it with a dark smokey eye and long lashes. It is the perfect lipstick for a winter look. However in the swatch on my wrist you can really see the pink tone's of this lipstick stand out.
I got around 4 hours of wear out of my lipstick before I needed to re-apply and a little was transferred onto my coffee cup.
What I love about this lipstick is that it is appropriate for so many situations. At work, the park or movies with friends it isn't over powering and will complement your look.

Everyone loves a good red lipstick and if you have been following my post's recently you will have seen my top 5 red lippy's. Well now I may have to alter that as this Karen Murrell Lipstick in True Love is certainly a handbag fav of mine.
Karen Murrell is a NZ born and bread lipstick designer who's lipsticks are all natural and come in a gorgeous array of colours. True Love is her 20th lipstick and it's certainly a milestone to be celebrated.

True Love comes in a gorgeous bronze tube. It has a slanted tip and has a yummy cinnamon scent to it. It is a blue based red, which is the perfect type for fair skinned gal's like me.
This lippy glides on super smoothly. It's very easy to manoeuvre over your lip's and last's for around 3 hour's before I needed to re-apply. This lippy doesn't bleed very much at all, even without a lip liner which is fantastic!
