Toddler. Toys
Boys and their toys huh!

I never thought that my two year old son would develop attachments to certain toys at this early age.

Another gift that we got him for his birthday recently was this small circle train track. It come in a small box with track pieces and a train.

Kmart Train Track

The train comes with batteries in it ready to go. It toots, chugs and makes all the noises a train should make. The batteries in our train didn't last very long as I took the first one of the shelf, and I'm guessing it was the one everyone had played with before they brought it!

The train goes round and around the track which apparently has magnet sensors so knows when to start and stop.

At $15 from kmart I'm pretty pleased with it. It's the perfect sized track as a first train track and for a toddler. The only down side to it as it is with the most toys, is that we quite often missplace all the pieces to the track!

Have you purchased any of these for your kids? I hope they enjoy it as much as mine did!

Kmart Art Easel

Good morning gorgeous!

As most of you know I have a son who has recently turned two.
I saw on another blog that I follow, a series of post's showcasing her toddlers favourite toy's. I thought this was a great idea so I am going to be running my own series of what Mason love.

This art easel was a gift we brought him for his birthday.

It has a whiteboard on one side and a black board on the other. There is 5 metres of paper also included which you can attach to the top of the board.

As well as this, included in the box was a 50 piece set of coloured chalk, 50 piece pack of plain white chalk. small baskets for storage of chalk and clips to attach the paper roll. Talk about having nearly everything you need!

Assembly was easy. All the screws were included with detailed instructions. It is a great height for little people and perfect to pull up a small plastic chair for them to sit on.

Below the boards make's for easy storage for the toddler's art tool's. I was worried that the dust from the chalk would fall onto the floor and make a tremendous mess but luckily enough the holder's at the bottom catch 95% of the chalk dust.

At only $35 from Kmart, this gift is affordable and practical. It will be great throughout winter when its raining and it is another activity to keep Mason occupied.

My only complaint with this easel is that when you roll the paper down to draw on it curves up at the end. I  took some blu tack and stuck the ends of the paper down when Mason wanted to draw but it was a pain having to find blu tack.

After purchasing a small pack of crayon's from Kmart also to include in the birthday gift, this whole activity came to under $40.

I love kmart. What are your best kmart kids finds? xx
