garnier
Hi pals,
Recently Garnier NZ had a competition to win a free Moisture Match tube on their facebook page. After 4 months I hadn't received mine, however my sister had! So I jumped back onto their facebook page and it seemed a common trend that people had to follow up and ask if they were still being posted it. I saw at least 6 different posts asking where they were!
Garnier were very friendly and apologetic, and sent out my tube. It arrived 3 weeks later by courier. When I opened the courier bag the box looked like it had been run over. Now this may not be how Garnier sent it, the courier could have damaged it, so lets not point fingers.

Not to happy with the damaged box! |
So I had the Dry to Very Dry - Ultra Hydrating Cream in the peach/pink tube. I think with the packaging they have tried to do simple but effective, but im not all to impressed with it. I think its boring. The box looks neat and exciting but the actual tube is plain.
The cream itself is thicker than normal moisturizers but absorbs into the skin straight away. You do get a decent 12 hours of full moister and then you may need a top up. I have only used this as a hand cream so far, I will be trying it on super dry places I have such as my face and my elbows!
Overall - I was disappointed with this product. I have looked at buying it every time I walked down the health and beauty isle but held out in hope my product arrived. Its affordable at around $10NZD but it wont be my go to moisturizer.
What do you guys think?

Hi pals,

Recently released here in New Zealand is the Garnier 5 sec perfect blur, and theres been much talk about it. Its quite pricey and alot of us asked is this to good to be true. Luckily there are samples floating around out there left, right and centre which meant I was able to get my hands on a few!
Alot of people has said that this product is the perfect dupe for Bennefit's Porefessional. I haven't used the porefessional product before so I can't comment on the comparison so if you have, I would love to know your thoughts.
The texture of the cream is a thick, silicon feel. It only takes a small amount to cover your entire face and neck and it blends really well. I think Garnier were a little optimistic when they said 5 seconds but it definately is noticeable after 1 minute.
The first occasion I have used this was on a 'make up free' day. I noticed such a difference in my skin and it also felt moisturised for the vast majority of the day. It has a beautiful matte free finish that doesn't leave you with any shiny spots.
Secondly, I used it as a face primer under my daily make up. I wasn't as impressed with it being used under make up as I was on a make up free day, but it still did the trick.
I have no visable wrinkles on my face (yet!) so I can't comment on the 'visably hides the side effects of ageing' promise that it has.
I am definately interested in buying the full sized product. L'Oreal has also recently released a similar product so if you have used the two products I would love to know your thoughts! and hot of the press! The body shop has just emailed saying they too have created a product just like this! The competition is heating up...
