The pink ladies !

The pink series!

So I've decided to go through my make up and display what items I have and mini review them, by arranging them by their colour. And the first one in the series is....the pink ladies!!

Let me introduce them to you :
Back L-R: MAC lustregloss , mode fab pink, jordanna pink ice, jordanna strawberry shortcake, MAC pink azalea and rimmell London 020.
Front sax cosmetics and maybelline colorsensational.

And now let's swatch them:

It's my first time ever taking a swatch photo so thts why it's a bit amateur but bare with me!

Now let's get into it.

MAC lustregloss

So this is amazing. I'm sorry the name of the colour has rubbed off the bottom! It's a lipgloss with glitter! The glitter is very highly pigmented but you don't get so much of the pink colour. The brush is like a little paintbrush so you really feel like your painting your lips. You probably get an hour out of the shine and need to reapply every 2-3 hours. It does have a lot of moisturizer in which is great.

Mode cosmetics: fab pink
I brought this off a random make up sale on line and what attracted me to this was the colour. It's so bright and girly I love it! This was my go to work lipstick for a while. Well pigmented so with just one swipe I was satisfie with the colour on my lips. I love the little mode logo where they have the o replaced with lips. I would re apply once every 3-4 hours just to keep the colour vibrant.

Jordana: pink ice
I have only just started purchasing jordana lipsticks as they don't stay on for very long but when you need a quick fix (photo, anyone? Say cheese!) they do the trick. My 13 month old thought this tasted good as you can tell from the photo! This isn't very pigmented so you do have to apply a couple times to get your desired colour. As mentioned before you may only get an hour max before you need to reapply. I also find jordana lippys have a scent to them that remind me of watermelon or plastic, I can't quite put my finger on it!

Jordana: strawberry shortcake.
See the above lipstick for my views on jordana lipstick. This particular colour however is a very soft pink. Not very pigmented and also has a scent to it. I had to apply 4 or 5 times to get some visible colour on my lips. It lasted an hour to take some photos and I was reapplying again. Jordana is very affordable so I suppose you pay for what you get.

MAC: royal azalea.
This is one of my favorite lipsticks from matte. It's part of the supreme sheen range. It's very moist (ew such a gross word! Haha), very highly pigmented and long lasting. This lipstick Definately does not dry out your lips and you probably get a good 3-4 hours before the need to reapply.

Rimmell London: lasting finish by kate shade 20.
I'm in love with the kate moss lipsticks for rimmell London range. Shade 010 was the perfect red for me and everyone else in NZ must have thought the same as they sold out EVERYWHERE. So much to my discuss I ventured out of my comfort zone and what a huge relief that was. This colour is gorgeous! It is very pigmented so apply carefully as it's quite tricky to hide and mistakes. Also if you accidentally smudge it your left with that horrible smude stain on your face! It has a hint of a purple tone to the colour and Definately has a lasting finish. I would recommend topping up every 4-5 hours however I have worn this on nights out and still been able to see the lipstain of the colour the next morning!

Sax : tender pink.
This is more of a lipgloss. It's very rich and when you apply to your lips you need to be careful. If you apply to mch you are left with the sticky look. The applicator brush is a small sponge so it holds all of the colour ready for your next application. I would recommend wiping the applicator on the side of the brush before applying. Also blotting your lips with a tissue after applying is also a good idea!

Maybelline: colorsensational high shine lip gloss in fiercely fuchsia.
This lip gloss is most Definately high shine. It has a lovely rich color and is highly pigmented. The applicator is a nice sponge also. With this colour I find less is more so be carefull how much you apply! The high shine lasts for 30 min - an hour, but it really does hold it's colour well for the short amount of time. Check out my first ever blog post on another colorswns lipstick!
