So a while ago I put out a call for beauty bloggers who were in a different continent and were interested in doing a make up swap. Sending each other different products that were made in our country and the other one didn't have. The absolute lovely Gemma from McCarthybeautyreview was so we got chatting.
A few Skype sessions later we were pumped! Gemma and I have a few things in common (both worked in travel, mummas to little boys and love make up!!) so I wanted to find wicked products to send her.
You can check out her post on her blog here about the NZ/AUS make up she recieved.
I was so fortunate to recieve an amazing box of goodies. It consisted of four brands: Make up rev, MUA, collection cosmetics and avon.
The Goodies! |
Make up rev eye pallet.
Wow this is amazing! Its a dupe for urban decay naked 2. It has so many gorgeous shades to it and i cant wait to create the perfect eyes.
MUA Lux powder brow.
Ive heard such great things about MUA and im so fortunate to be able to try it now. I love how it gives you hints on how to create the perfect brow on the packaging. So simple yet so beneficial.
Collection intense colour kohl pencil.
Ive seen great reviews for these online. They're ment to be great high quality pencils so I will put them to the test and let you know!
Make up rev lippy - Sweetheart.
Gorgeous colour!! Looks really pigmented too.
Collection Naturally Matte Foundation.
Looking forward to trying this as it looks like a good foundation for the summer time.
Make up revolution blush
Cute little blush! Looks like such a nice pink too!
Avon setting spray.
Have heard great things about this too! I think its going to give the high end setting sprays a good run for their money! It was also so reasonably priced (2pound 50 which is $5 NZ).
MUA extreme volume mascara
Looks like a great mascara with a decent brush to avoid clumping.
Collection mardi gras lipbalm.
This smells like strawberry! So sweeeeet. I want to eat it......
Avon Contour Concealer.
I haven't used a stick type concealer before so am looking forward to trying this out!
Favourite item.
Definatley going to have to be the Make up revolution pallette. Cosmetics here are quite pricey so im so amazed that this was a drugstore brand. It has the most beautiful tones in and the options are just endless. I have worn the eye shadow today and it has lasted nearly all day with no smudging. Super impressed!!
Let me know if you have done a beauty swap before? Whats your favourite thing about our beauty swap?
Ciao Bella !! xoxo
