REVIEW|| City Color lipstick, Kiss me softly

Hi lovelies!

A while back you might recall reading my lip monthly unboxing post (if you haven't then you need to click here! ) and included in that pack was a LOT of City Color lipsticks. I felt like City Colors had donated all of their left over end of line products to lip monthly and we got sent them all. Included in the box was a lipstick in the color of "kiss me softly".

This is the only lipstick out of that months subscription that I would probably wear.

 

The packaging is pretty cute. I like the fact that it is a more rectangular tube. Something different and makes it easy to distinguish.  The lipstick is a brown colour and very highly pigmented.  I'm aware that this was a drugstore brand and only cost $3.99USD, so for that price I'm happy with how pigmented it is. The lipstick also has a cute little crown, which im guessing is their logo, engraved onto the top of the lipstick which is a nice touch. 

For some reason the smell of this lipstick reminds me of sunblock. Wierd huh!

The texture of the lipstick is very creamy. It glides onto your lips smoothly and with just one swipe you have pretty full coverage on your lips.

I found that after 3 hours my lipstick had warn off completely and I needed to reapply. So coverage isn't for long but while it's their it's great. It also doesn't have that much staying power once its on your lips. It transfers very easily onto coffee mugs!

Now it's a shame that lip monthly send out discontinued products as I would repurchase this if I could.

Have you used any of the City Color cosmetics? Its not easily available in New Zealand so I won't be going out of my way to find it which is a shame.
