GRWM: Purple eyes

Hi fraaaands! 

I love watching Get Ready With Me videos on youtube and I thought why not do a blogger version! Purple lips was a huge trend over winter and now coming into summer I thought 'Just give it a go!'. So lets look at the products that I have used today. Please note that this is the first GRWM post I have done and obviously when I learn what works/doesn't I will be altering them. Today was kind of rushed as my 18 month old had found my lipsticks. eek!!

So to begin with I primed my face with MAC Strobe Cream, followed by my L'Oreal infallible foundation and MAC select cover up concealer. A little tip I have recently learnt is to apply concealer AFTER your foundation as it blends easier and uses less! 

I then began working on my eyes as this was the main feature of my look today. After sending my giveaway winner a 'Power to the Purple' LOL eye shadow pallette I thought why not treat myself to one to! I absolutely love the different shades of purple. They range from soft lavender shades to deep barney the dinosaur purple!

I began with the lightest shade of lavender on the inner corners of my eyes and blended into a slightly darker purple and then the 'barney the dinosaur' (as I like to call it) purple on the outer eye lid and blended around into the top of my crease.

My eyes were then lined with Maybelline Define a lash liquid liner and coated with Rimmell Scandal-eyes mascara. Brows were done courtesy of MUA power brow.

Definition was added to my face by adding some highlighting and bronzer. Just briefly  I used ELF highlighter - shimmering face whip, Elf Bronzer and Napoleon Perdis creme blush. The blush was given to me as a freebie in a magazine and it was the first creme blush I had ever used and I LOVE it!!

Finally my lips were topped with MAC Royal Azalea. Part of the supreme sheen range, its creamy texture glides on beautifully leaving a soft pink look.

And, voila!

So my photos were taken on my new galaxy s5 phone. Im still getting the hang of it as I am used to my beloved iphone so if you have any tips on the camera on an s5 please let me know! Its my least favourite part of the phone at the moment!!
