REVIEW| COLLECTION Cosmetics Naturally Matt Foundation

Hello beautiful flowers,

What's the 411? Fill me in on the goss! Because today I'm going to be giving you my thoughts on Collection Cosmetic's Naturally Matt foundation in the shade 02 Blonde.

Collection Cosmetic's is a relatively new brand to hit the NZ Make up scene and their foundations can be purchased for around $16.99 from Countdown. This one is part of a matte range that I received from the lovely Gemma in the UK.

This foundation promises to "combat the effects of oily or combination skin this fabulous new product gives you the perfect base to stay looking totally gorgeous all day long.
Contains grape extract, one of the skin's secret weapons in the battle against wrinkles, protecting against those fine lines that build up over time. "

It also promises a full day's worth of coverage.  Unfortunately this didn't happen.

I found the texture of this foundation to be slimy. It wasn't a nice feeling to touch and I had doubts about putting it on my face. It feels very watered down and runny. Its interesting that the colour is described as 'Blonde' because it is VERY dark. I am blonde, with pale skin and normally I wear foundation in the colour Ivory or True Ivory, but this is just to dark.

Here is a comparison in the texture of the foundations. On the left is Rimmel London's Stay Matte and on the right is Collection's Naturally Matt foundation. As you can see there is a huge colour difference and a huge difference in the texture.

Because the texture of the foundation is so thin it spreads very easily. Below I have only done half of my face to show you the coverage that it gives. It does give light to medium coverage so would be OK during the summer months when it's hot.

You can see that on the left it has blended my freckles in nicely but it has also left a slight yellow tinge near my jaw.

Coverage for this foundation only lasted 2 or so hours before I felt like I had to re-apply completely.

The packaging is cute and tidy, it also provides protection against UVA & UVB rays. From what I've found it is very affordable (£2.99) and fragrance free. So it does have a few pro's about it. I wanted so badly to like it as I am a fan of collection cosmetics but this just didn't work.
I will re try this one during summer when I have a bit of a tan and see if the colour matches me more then!

Lipstick and love xx
