I know that with this being such a busy season there is pressure from everywhere. Financial pressure, social pressure and family pressure just to name a few. It's really easy to lose touch with who you are versus who people want you to be.
I like to think I'm quite spiritual. Just in the fact I believe we are all here with a purpose and that gratitude is key! You get back from the universe what you give. I've put together some ideas to help you chill for an hour or so, just to get your feet back on the ground.
1 - Take a bath.
There is nothing I love more than sitting in the bath, face mask on and a candle burning. Even if you soak for 30 minutes, you will feel 100 % more relaxed after.
2- Play relaxing music.
Norah Jones is who I put on when I need to wind down before bed or to just relax in general. I also really enjoy relaxing to Sole Mio and Michael Buble.
3 - Write a gratitude list.
List all the things that you are thankfull for from the past week. I make my partner say the best thing that's happened in his day every night before bed, it makes him see what he has to be thankful for.
4 - Read a spiritual book.
I love Miranda Kerr's books Treasure Yourself and Empower Yourself. Also Gabrielle Bernstein writes some great books about connecting with the universe.
5 - Meditate or do yoga.
Another fantastic way to take 5 minutes and relax. Although I do find it hard to clear my mind completely ! I use the Popsugar Fitness Channel on youtube for all my yoga needs.
