Have you ever heard about people talking about what tone they are and thought 'WHAT!?!!'. Well let me fill you in.
Tone's are divided into three categories - Cool, Warm and Neutral.
There are a few ways to tell what category you fit into.
Option one - Take a look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. If they are Blue then you are likely to have cool undertones. If they look green, then class yourself as warm toned.
Option two - How easily do you tan in summer? If you are pasty white (like me) and go pink and peel after being sunburnt then you are Cool toned. However, if you are the total opposite and you tan very easily then you are warm. Obviously, Neutral would be if your 50/50 off this.
Option three - Eye colour. Blue and Green eyed gal's are most likely to been cool toned. Warm, brown or hazel eyes are more warm toned.
Neutral toned gal's are the one's that are 50/50 with each of these things or side with some things from one category but with others from the other category!
What does this all mean?
Choosing make up can be made a whole lot easier if you know what category you fall into, and finding out what is the most flattering choices for your skin.
Lipsticks
Cool Tone - Cool Toned gals can easily pull of blue based red's, cool pinks and burgundy coloured lipsticks.
Warm Tone - Apricot, nudes or shimmery red's.
Neutral - Berry colour's, mauves and rose work well on your smackers.
Eye shadows
Cool - Blue, Bronze and Gold's work well on your lid's.
Warm - Light to medium pink's or urban decay smoked palette is full of colours especially for you.
Neutral - You are so lucky, you can pull of purple's and lavender's with ease.
I hope that this has helped a little in understanding what is supposed to work more for you! Let me know how you get on with this guide xx
