Welcome to my second installment of bridal bootcamp!
The morning of the wedding can be ALOT of fun - especially for girls. It involves being pampered, hanging out with your girlfriends and putting a beautiful dress on.
Your main aim as bridemsiads on the morning of the wedding is to make sure the bride is stress free and that everything running smoothly. Because if it's not all going well then the bride has permission to go bridezilla on yo ass!
So, I have some hints of what to remember for the ensuring the smooth running of wedding morning.
FOOD
I'm going to start with food because we don't want anyone getting hangry. Is the bride having breakfast? Does she need someone to take her a fruit platter? What about before you go to the wedding ceremony? fast food delivery?
We made sure that our bride had a fruit platter for breakfast and then ordered about 40 cheeseburgers for lunch. It's always nice to supply a few snacks (or burgers) to your photographer's and hair and make up team. I have to admit, it was pretty hilarious eating burgers when we all had our hair and make up done so nicely !
PRO TIP - Drink with straws so that you don't ruin your lipstick!! |
MUSIC
Music sets the mood for any occasion. Some Maid Of Honors like to go hard out and have an entire playlist of wedding songs which is cool but also a lot of hard work. After researching, downloading, formatting songs - there are easier ways to do it.
A good idea is to try have a play list of songs you know she loves. Pop songs are good to get everyone singing and upbeat but she might be more of a Norah Jones relaxing kinda gal.
Crowd Controll
No doubt that when you are getting ready there are 100000 other people trying to sneak a peak of the bride. Ontop of photographers, videographers, multiple bidesmaids, flower girls, make up artist's and hair dressers running around, there is the annoying aunty who wont take a hint. The mother of the bride and mother in law might also be there BUT there come's a point where you need to clear everyone out. Sort through who is important enough, and needed, to be in the room and who can wait until the ceremony to see the bride. Sometime's you gotta show a little tough love!
So here are some tips to make the wedding morning run a lil smoother... just please don't let anyone get hangry!
How did your wedding morning go? Smoothly?
