Taking stock // life update 💜

Hello baby sunflowers!

I thought that it had been a while since I'd updated you with anything that has been going on in my life. I feel like the days are racing by and things are changing. But we need to often sit and reflect and catch our breath.

Making: scones for everyone's lunches this week
Cooking: a roast chicken for dinner with all the trimmings.
Drinking: wine. Clearwater reserve pinky gris
Reading: nothing at the moment! Waiting for holly Maddison book to arrive.
Wanting: To to catch up on some sleep and shake the strepthroat I've got.
Looking: At the snow falling outside
Playing: I've really been unto Pharrell Williams song "freedom!" 

The only concerts I go to lately are children's concerts. ..here is the wiggles.

Wishing: To have a tropical holiday.
Enjoying: life in general. Although is challenging and busy it is a lot of fun.
Waiting: For my son to wake from his nap. Any minute now....
Liking: My work environment. It's amazing how much of a happy place it can be.
Wondering: how other family's make it work. This being a mum is a tough gig and when you and your partner were brought up differently it's hard to find a good compromise.
Loving: my son and all his new words he's learnt!

Here's a selfie of me on my first day at work. I'm now a bridal stylist! It's super fun but stressful. 

Pondering: Where I’ll be in a year.

Considering: getting another throat lozenge.
Watching: fashion bloggers. I die. So empowering and makes me want to create the best blog I can.
Hoping: tomorrow morning goes smoothly. First ever day care drop off, driving to the city for work, grandma collecting him and us being home by 6.
Marvelling: At how gorgeous some of the girls look in their wedding dresses.
Needing: To do some washing.
Wearing: leggings and socks and a puffer jacket!
Following: Sally jo! I don't find her as annoying or aimed as much at young teens as what the other big you tubers do.

My son recently met his idol "elmo". Words can not
describe just how happy he was! 

Noticing: That I only have about 4 really good true friends.
Knowing: That I am good enough and don't have to settle when someone disagrees wigh something I've said.
Thinking: About tomorrow. The stresses of being a working mum.
Admiring:  the beautiful wedding dresses by Justin Alexander. 
Sorting: Out my life.
Buying: holly Maddison's new book. Trying to find new work appropriate outfits so if you see any let me know! 
Getting: Excited by some upcoming fashion projects for spring and the blog.

Bookmarking: holiday destinations. Rarotonga or French Polynesia?
Disliking: being sick.
Opening: A bounty chocolate bar
Giggling: At a funny video of giant minions harassing people in the street. 
Feeling: tired
Snacking: mint chocolate biscuits.... the best! 
Coveting: Jaffa chocolate! Love it!
Helping: a friend out with her 3 kids. She needs some time out!
Hearing: "all of me" on repeat by John legend!
