Autumn is here! Woo!
Even though the temperature drops considerably, there's something about the crisp leaves on the ground and the smell of people's fire's burning in the evening that I love. The fashion in the colder months is definitely another reason I love autumn, as it's time to pull out those knits and chunky scarves!
It's almost an unwritten rule that with the cooler month's it becomes more acceptable to rock a dark lip colour in your every day life. I've put together my top 5 lipstick's for Autumn that you can check out and let me know if you will be wearing the darker colours in the coming months!
L'Oreal Paris Project Runway Lipstick in 786 The Temptress Kiss
This limited edition lipstick is a dark brown / burgundy colour with a little bit of shimmer. It hides hint's of plum in it and is very pigmented. This colour is a great one for those of us who don't normally wear a dark lip and are wanting a colour to ease into it. It work's perfect with a dark smokey eye and can be easily taken from day to night.
MAC Dark Desires Collection - Heavy Petting*
Heavy Petting is a dark brown lipstick that has warm undertones. The warm undertones makes it such a great choice to wear this autumn. As most MAC lipstick's the colour pay off is fantastic, super pigmented and lightweight.
NARS Satin Lip Pencil
This is the colour Rose Brown and is super creamy and smooth. It's highly pigmented and full of moisturiser you definitely don't get dry and chapped lips throughout the day with this on. Fun fact? The names of the satin lip pencil range are all named after different parks and gardens from around the world.
NYX Simply Vamp in 01
This is a deep brown shade that is creamy and guaranteed to vamp it up, hey hey! NYX is a super affordable range and you get a chunky lip crayon which will last you a long time. Again this lipstick is super pigmented so you only need to apply one swipe if your easing yourself into the dark autumn lip.
Bobbi Brown Rum Raisin 32
Ideally I feel like this would work better on gal's with warmer skin tones, however that's not to be discarded for us white girl's as I totally rock this without a care. This does have a nude tone to it which lightens the darkness of it nicely. This lipstick definitely does not bleed as well if you wear it without a lip liner.
