If there is something that I haven't yet found my 'HOLY GRAIL' of in makeup land it would be a foundation. In my quest to find the best one for me I have recently tried the Designer Brand's Longwear foundation. I have seen youtuber's rave about it online but could this $17 foundation really be as good as a MAC one?
Designer Brand's 24 Hour Foundation makes big promises. 84% of user's claim that it doesn't cake or go flakey or heavy and is full coverage. It contain's Vitamin C, E, Aloe Vera extract and has an SPF of 15. I have heard talks that it is a great dupe for Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation.
So I have been trying this out in the shade Ivory. It's my standard shade as I am preeeety pasty. It was a great colour match for me!

My first impression is that the bottle looked pretty good. The packaging is plain and simple, yet effective. It comes with a pump which is great for not wasting product.
I have applied this foundation with a Real Techniques brush and a little goes along way. It most definitely is full coverage. It blends out nicely into the jaw bone and doesn't go streaky around the nose.

To give you an idea of coverage, foundation is applied over top of a red lipstick swatch. One pump of product was used and blended out. |
I have worn this with both a setting spray over top and a powder to set it. I would recommend using a setting spray as it keeps the foundation light and fresh. Sometimes the powder can turn it a little orange and heavy.
I thoroughly enjoy this foundation and it is my every day go to. It doesn't become oily throughout the day and would recommend this to anyone who wants a decent full coverage foundation.
You can either buy this foundation direct off their website or through pharmacies nation wide.
Have you used a product from designer brands before? Were you impressed?
Lipstick and love!
