I have been the worst beauty blogger over the last year.
So much so that I started telling people I was solely a 'mummy blogger' because my beauty blogging content was scare. So sorry about that gal's.
Anyway, adding to my list of being a bad beauty blogger problem, I haven't actually purchased any new foundation in the last year. I had bottles and bottles of half empty foundation laying around that I needed to use up and i'm proud to say that that is exactly what I have done!
Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation.
This is my old ye faithfull. I can't say I reach for it first but I use it for it's staying power. It is a thicker foundation and perfumed quite strongly however it last's really well with the heat.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation with Comfort Serum.
This is probably my favourite foundation out of the Rimmel one's I had. It isn't perfumed so there is no scent to it when you apply. It is a thinner formula than the one above and blends beautifully. It literally makes you look flawless without sinking into your creases. This foundation paired with a good concealer is a great combo!
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation.
Perfect Match is a great foundation for those 'no makeup makeup' days. Sit's well ontop of the skin and doesn't show any pores or wrinkles.
Would I repurchase any of these? I would repurchase the Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation with Comfort Serum and Match Perfection foundation just to have handy.
L'Oreal Paris Magic Nude Liquid Powder Foundation.
This foundation is a wet to dry foundation. Meaning you apply it as a liquid to give a smooth powder look . You need to work fast with this one as it dry's quite quickly and blend, blend blend! Although I do love this foundation it is very easy to look chalky.
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation
I feel like this is one of the most common drugstore foundations. This one is the dewy foundation as opposed to their matte. The formula is quite runny and thin so it's veeeery easy to use this in excess of what you actually need. I found on my skin it didn't actually last long.
Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Bare Perfection Foundation
This has been my 'special occasion' foundation where I have saved it for evenings out, hens parties etc. It is lightweight, thin and blends very easily. Doesn't oxodise at all on your skin too which helps. An added bonus is that it photographs PERFECTLY. There is very little SPF in it which isn't so great for the sunshine but perfect for getting your photo taken.
Designer Brands 24 Hour Longwear Foundation
This is my latest foundation that I am O B S E S S E D with. The bottle is similar to the Elizabeth Arden foundation mentioned above. Glass with a pump so that you have minimal waste. Although the formula is runny and thin, it is still very full coverage. And at under $20 for a bottle you can afford to wear this full coveraged foundation daily!
Would I repurchase? Yes to both!
What foundations have surprised you lately? Are there any that you are loving or were surprisingly disappointed by?
