As you know this week is all about giving love to those companies who don't test on animals and calling for a stop to this mad practice, so today's product review is of the Australis Double Decker Eyeshadows, seeing as Australis Cosmetic's don't test on animals (woohoo!)
I picked these up recently online and I was interested by the concept. The top lid opens to a pressed powder and the bottom opens to a loose pigment. Two slightly different colours that are ment to compliment each other.
Supreme Casanova and Moon Rocker pigments |
Pressed Eyeshadows at the top |
The first one is known as Supreme Casanova which is a brown colour. The top pressed pigment makes for a nice base. This alone would make a nice colour to wear to work everyday.
The loose pigment really sealed the deal for me. The pigment is more bronze toned and it made the eyeshadow pop a bit more. The colour combo is nice and would compliment the blue eyed gal especially.
The second one is Moon Rocker and is a blue base colour. It is the same principal here. One pressed and one loose shadow. The loose pigment with Moon Rocker is a metallic silver colour. I feel this is a bit to shimmery for every day wear so would be best worn on a night out.
The only thing that is not so great about this one is that it does crease unfortunately even when I did use it in conjunction with a primer.
Supernova pressed then loose pigment followed by moon rocker pressed and loose pigment. |
Unfortunately I can't recall how much these were as I grabbed them off a deal website but if you know be sure to let me know. Australis is a very affordable brand so I know that it will be within most of our budgets!
