Hi beauties!
This week from March 9th till the 15th marks the international #blogforbunnies week where I want you to give all of your love to those brands who do our furry little friends a favour and make those pretty cosmetics without harming them.
Campaigns are running all over the world this week to end animal testing. Countries such as Brazil, Japan, Korea and the USA are also taking part. Talk about power by numbers, huh!
The sad reality of this all is that animal testing is legal in around 80% of the world. Here in New Zealand there is a draft legislation that is being considered at the moment, how awesome is that!

The common misconception about cruelty free product's is that it costs more to purchase. Some of my favourite 'drugstore' brands are cruelty free and totally affordable. ELF, Australis Cosmetics and Lush all have vegan products and are easily accessible and affordable to us down under.
So for this week, lets stand up and be known that make up is cool, but it's even better knowing that no furry friends were harmed in the process. Im posting this blog post on a more serious note and asking for us to #becrueltyfree and get some laws passed in here in NZ to protect the animals.
It would also be a huge help if you all could please take two minutes out of your busy lives to sign this right here.
Sarah from The Lilly Mint is also supporting the #becrueltyfree movement and you can check her blog out here. Catwalk Cult is my favourite NZ Cruelty Free blogger, She keeps it cruelty free 100% of the time.
Safe Shopper NZ, is the most reliable site to check whether your make up is infact cruelty free and is easy to navigate. If in doubt, check it out!
You can follow the latest news by watching the hashtag's #becrueltyfree and #blogforbunnies. They also have a facebook page right hurrrrr.
So what are you waiting for? Lets make a stand together!
