5 struggles for all lipstick lovers

Lipstick.

We love it. It expresses our mood, is fun and playful and also easy to carry around with us.

But as lipstick junkie we can all agree that there are some tricky bits when wearing it. Can you relate to these too?

You always kiss after applying your lipstick.

It's something that we will never learn from. Whether we are wearing glossy, satin or matte it's never set in place when someone dives in for the kiss. Even though wearing lipstick can make you look irresistible and your lips totally kissable its best to kiss before the lippy goes on!

You know how real it is when you need to refrigerate your lipsticks during summer.

This is the worst thing ever. RIP to all the lipsticks left in a car while we're at the beach, work or briefly forgotten about that the sun got the better of. I lost a MAC Sunny Seoul that had only been used twice which was left in the car while I went to work so I feel your pain!

There are many different shades of a colour.

When people ask what you want for your birthday and you say lipstick so they buy you a "pink" one. While the thought is lovely, it's probably the wrong pink for your skin tone. Pink alone could be baby pink, soft pink, hot pink or even a shade of  Fuschia. So I think it's safe to say we either need to be specific in what we want or buy it ourselves!

Your hand is a black canvas

The saying try before you buy has never been more true when it comes to adding a colour to your every growing lipstick collection. Not only is it unhygienic to test samples on your own lips but you will run out of room so the next best thing is your arm. Eventually you will  leave the department store with about 50 different colours of the rainbow swatched up your arm. And probably forget about it until someone gives you a few strange looks later in the day.

Simple tasks like having a cup of coffee are challenging.

There is nothing better than waking up and having a fresh up of coffee, and let's be honest it is the thing that turns us from a walking zombie into a functioning human. Sometimes time isn't on our side though and we need to have our coffee on the run and that's when you can say bye bye to that freaky applied lippy. Apart from loosing all your lippy to your coffee you also mark your territory with lipstick stains on everything!
