For so long I have wanted to try Tarte Cosmetics. I am obsessed with their 'Rainforest Under The Sea' collection which I currently have my eye on but the only thing stopping me has been that you basically have to sell your soul to get any of their products to New Zealand.
I was lucky enough to pick up a bronzer called Parkave Princess Bronze & Gkow Matte Bronzer Cheek Tint by them from Trade Me to review for you. Unopened and authentic (I checked!) it was time I became a Tarte (heh!).
Tarte Parkeave Princess Bronze and Glow Matte Bronzer and Cheek Tint is from their 2014 collection but still widely used in the makeup scene today.
This dual product contains a tube of liquid bronzer and a soft tip that contains a cheek tint. The cheek tint looks quite pinky at first but it is actually a gorgeous shade of peachy pink. It's also a cream cheek tint and doesn't dry out at all - provided you put the cap back on firmly after use.
The bronze and the blusher are infused with Tarte's own Amazonian clay and Maracuja blend. The bronzer has a whipped mousse like formula to it and I feel the texture could be compared to the old Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse bronzers that we all used to love in the early 2000's. I would have guessed it to be a dark brown from the tube but it is quite subtle and dry's completely matte. You have about 30 seconds to blend the product in which it does so easily before it drys.
I do like this product, especially the way it looks so natural so would recommend it to be worn on 'normal' days when your not wanting to look too glam. However if your on a budget then just whip out that tin of Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse as its very similar.
