5 Things I Don't Have Time For

Good morning lovely readers!

Life's busy. Two kids under five, A very needy cat (who thinks shes a person) and trying to get through this cold weather without hibernating in a blanket forte under the heat pump makes for a very hectic situation. I saw another blogger do a post on the five things she didn't have time for and I thought what a great idea! So i'm jumping on the bandwagon and sharing the 5 things that I currently don't have time for (a.k.a things that have pissed me off lately and I no longer give a shit about).

1 ) Politics
Donald Trump is an idiot. End of.

2) Instagram.
Whilst instagram is my favourite social media channel to be on I do have a love heat relationship with it. I am guilty of being caught up in the whole thing of focusing too much on growing it only to be screwed over and the algorithm is always changing and being one step ahead of the blogger. I'm seeing argument's happening all the time in blogging groups on Facebook 'Comment pod's are cheating! Your hashtag's have been shadow blocked! Don't leave comment's on other people's photos under 5 words or it's not noticed! Leave a genuine comment within two hours after posting to beat the algorithm!' and I can't keep up anymore. Instagram used to be fun. I'm going to take a step back until I find the joy I once had for it (all while I loose atleast 10 followers a day simply for not posting - whatevs. Bye Felicia).

3) Dairy Solids
Nearly every single freaking food product has dairy solids in. About five months ago we found out my son was lactose intolerant and as I am breastfeeding I needed to cut all dairy out of my diet. It was super hard at first but now cutting the main things like cheese, yogurt and cow's milk are history and I don't even miss it anymore. It's seemed to help my son ten fold but occasionally we have a day where he's so unsettled and grumpy and im 90% sure it's down to what I have eaten that day having dairy solids in. I don't have time to stand in the supermarket checking very single product I pick up for dairy solids but I might soon have to.

4) Matching socks
A few ,months back I showed my mother in law a photo of her newest grandson. Her response was 'oh yes he has matching socks on . That's a first. Id take a photo of that too'. Cue awkward laugh from me. But seriously, sock's are almost disposable. If they don't get lost in the washing machine then they get blown away with the wind or left at kindy. I'll tell you now my kids will only probably be in matching sock's if i've just brought them. Otherwise the main thing is that their feet have sock's on and they're warm.

5) Meal planning.
Being a mum is great. It really is. But meal planning and cooking can become a bit tedious. Just over a month ago  I was so sick of having the same meals on repeat. All healthy with a crap load of vege's in but I was not at all interested in cooking a spaghetti bolognaise for the second time in a month. Bargain box to the rescue! It comes with a recipe, every single thing (apart from one or two staples) you need to make it and sometimes the meat is already cut (cause I ain't touching no fish!). We now have a whole folder full of recipes that are new and ready to cook again.

Thanks for reading my passive complaining post about the things that are on my mind lately! Be sure to let me know a few of your things that you don't have time for in the comments below.

Lipstick and love!
