I can't believe that it has been three month's since I became a mother of two.
It has been both busy and very rewarding.
It was a huge adjustment going from one child to two and while I knew what I was in for to some extent, I dont think I was prepared for how much of a change it was. Noah is doing really well and Mason is the kindest big brother. It took about 6 weeks to find my feet and in that time I feel like I hibernated alot but it was what we needed.
I was really fortunate to have a whole lot of my family visit when I had Noah. They all helped out with keeping Mason busy as it was school holidays and also helped drive me wherever I needed to run errands. Not being able to drive for six weeks after a cesarean is hard but with great help it makes it easier. Mum also froze meals, did dinner, helped with appointments which was amazing (thanks mum!). Not long after they left my sister also visited and was just as helpful. I'm very greatful for all the help our family gave as many hands made light work.
My experience this time around with a cesarean was much more pleasant than the first. The pain management was great and I kept ontop of all my medications, although I hated having to do the clexane injections!
We're constantly active and getting out the house this time too. We try and walk Mason to kindy whenever we can as exercise is great for keeping your mind clear. I've also joined a bootybarre class which is a fusion of ballet, yoga and pilates. Im doing this twice a week and it is amazing for keeping my mind and mental health in great shape and making me feel good. The classes are hard but afterwards im totally proud I never gave up and achieved the class. The weight loss is also an added bonus. I'm hoping for a booty by Christmas! haha.
Thanks for following my journey with baby number two! We're totally smitten with him. The baby smile's make everything worth it.
Lipstick and love! x
