review
MAC Cosmetics has released another visually appealing limited edition collection just in time for autumn/winter. Flamingo Park is released on counters today (March 7th) and is described as 'plunging into the punchy pleasures of pink in a freshly made batch of scrumptious colours that let you have your cake, and wear it too.'
With beautiful images that are sure to catch your eye, this is a limited edition collection that your guaranteed to pick up a few pieces from . I was very lucky and was sent a couple items to review for you. Let's get straight into it!
Hi beauties!
Im here again to share with you some of the new releases from L'Oreal. You would have caught my matte lippy's post and if you didn't you can read it here.
If there is one mascara that I have had my eye on alot lately, it's L'Oreal Paris' Miss Manga. This caught my attention purely because of the packaging. I think the fuchsia purple and the black looks so sleek and cute that I wanted it to have a permanent place in my handbag.
MAC's limited edition collections are something most beauty blogger's lust after. They have something so beautiful about them and the fact that they could go at any minute put's you in panic mode to go out and get them.
I was super lucky enough to be sent some of MAC's Dark Desires collection and am about to review it for you right about...now!
Lipstick
HEAVY PETTING* - RRP $40.00 NZD
Heavy Petting is a burgundy coloured lipstick which has a cream sheen finish. It also has warm undertone's and a semi opeuqe pigmentation. The key with this lipstick is to apply it evenly. You can build up the pigmentation quite nicely to be quite dark if you want it to be, but it's also really nice to leave it with just one coat for day to day wear. It's a really lightweight formula and it didn't hydrate but it didn't dry out my lips either. I got four solid hours of wear out of this lipstick before needing to reapply.
BLACK KNIGHT* - RRP $40.00 NZD
Ok the first thing that I love about this lipstick is that IT SPARKLES. Who doesn't love a little bit of sparkle?!
Black knight is black lipstick that also dries to a cream sheen finish. The black lipstick has little red and gold specks that also glide on beautifully. This also is a buildable lipstick which I think is the best way to be with black and I personally find that one or two coat's is more than enough. Just be careful when wearing this that you exfoliate your lips before hand as it does show every crack and sink into lines. Pair it with a lip liner for a good four hours worth of wear.
EYE GLOSS
Pearl Varnish Eye Gloss* - RRP $50.00
This is the product that I was most intregued about. Like, what is an eye gloss!? The one I was sent is pearl varnish which is a white with pearl specks in and shimmer's nicely. The texture is super sticky and it literally is like putting lipgloss on your eyelids. So it does feel sticky and a bit odd when you apply it, and it doesn't dry out throughout the day. You can build this up to be super shimmery or leave it with quite a transperent shimmer. My advice for this is if you are going out one night and you want some sparkle then apply this with a killer waterproof mascara and you will be a mysterious goddess. I peresonally wear this when we are entertaining in the evenings and when the sun sets and catches the sparkle you radiate.
FLUIDITY
Fluidline Pen - Indelibly Blue* - RRP $40.00 NZD
These fluidline pen's have the most amazing tip. Making winged liner is easy - even for those that have hooded eyes. It combines the use of a pigmented liner in the form of a pen. It is super easy to apply and you have alot of control over the pen. I have this in a blue colour which is a deep navy blue which add's just the right amount of colour to your everyday make up.
This collection is available from boxing day at all authorized MAC reatailers. Shall we just add this collection to your list of boxing day shopping?!
What are you the most intregued about?

Good morning sunshine!
Weleda is a new brand for me and I just love discovering hidden gem's. It has been said that superstars like Rihanna and Victoria Beckham have this in their skin care routine and love it.
Weleda Skin Food is a multi tasking product which leaves the skin feeling plump and hydrated. It has recently been released in a travel size of 30mls so there is no excuse to not be using this.
Weleda Skin Food has a huge combination of yummy things in. Its made up of things like organic chamomile, wild pansy and rosemary.
There are many ways you can wear your skin food. A primer, lip balm and on any scars you may have are just a few!
The packaging of this product is a bright and vibrant green. I'm not sure if I like the brightness of the colour but I think it definitely distinguishes itself from all of the other skin food products.
You can definitely smell all of the beautiful things in this cream when you open the lid and it is of a thick consistency. Initially I wondered if this may be a little to thick for my skin and feel heavy but thankfully it absorbs quickly and smoothly.
I applied a small amount to my problem area's such as nose, neck and elbows. After using this for a week personally I liked to incorporate it into my bedtime routine so it could work its magic while I slept.
I have been noticing a huge difference in the dryness of my skin and with the changing of season coming up I will continue to use this for a little longer.
If you are interested in giving this a whirl then you can pick it up from health stores and pharmacies for $13.90
Have you used weleda skin food before? Do you suffer from dry patches too?

Hi baby sunflowers!
Collection is a brand I have mixed feelings on. I first tried a foundation from them over a year ago and was not sold on the formula but I thought id give them another go.
I picked up the illuminating touch concealer and brightening pen. It is my first pen type concealer and I had seen on a few youtube video's that application was pretty easy.
The very first time I used it, I felt like I was twisting for aaaaaages before anything would come out. I was at the point of nearly giving up when something squirted out.
I quite like the packaging of the illuminating touch concealer. Its sleek, slim and simple. Not over crowded with designs or detail but clean and concise.
It is easy to manoeuvre and apply the concealer. I specifically put this to the test on my under eye areas as they are where I would need coverage daily. I find this concealer to be medium coverage but it blends in nicely.
For imperfections that need some serious cover up, this isn't the one for you. However, for every day wear you could probably get away with using this combined with foundation.
On an average day, this would only give me coverage for about 3 hour's before being completely gone. When I am applying for every day coverage I do find that alot is needed (I'm a full coverage kinda gal). This lasted me around about 4 week's and I would use it three or four times a week.
These can be picked up from Countdown supermarket's around the country for $16.39 or anywhere online that stocks Collection Cosmetics.
Have you used this concealer? How did you find it?

Hello gorgeous!
Lush is such a fabulous brand. The products, customer service and everything that it stands for (#gayisok campaign) . The latest products that I've been lucky enough to try are the new massage bars.
There are seven different massage bars. I have Dirty* and Yes, yes yes!*
![]() |
| Top - Dirty, Bottom - Yes, Yes, Yes |
They are very easy on the eyes. They also smell beautifully! At my first sniff I could smell hints of chocolate in dirty and a few hints of vanilla in yes yes yes.
Dirty has spearmint and chocolate in it, aswell as a herbal Gorilla perfume. The chocolate smell that I can taste is from the cocoa powder and dark chocolate that is in it. It is so delicious to use on a cold winter day. After using you instantly feel moisturised. It's quite a thick soap so make sure you rub it into your body well.
I love using Yes Yes Yes at the end of the day as the jasmine in it make me feel very calm and relaxed. This bar claims to make the scents attract the boys! It is made with lust and is sexy, sultry and gorgeous. I haven't tried it on my partner yet but what I can tell you is that the beautiful floral scent lasts for a good few hours after your shower.
I actually caught my partner using these because he stepped out of the shower and said "man that soap you have in there is good. My body doesn't know what's happened to it
These can both be picked up for $18.50 from your local lush store or online. Every bar in the range is either $14.90 or $18.50 so super affordable for everyone!
Have you used any of the massage bars?
Hi beautiful!
Welcome back to my blog babes!
A brand that everyone has been talking about for the last few month's has been Gerard Cosmetics . I think one of the best things that this brand does is collab with online beauty influencer's such as Kathleen Lights, Jaclyn Hill and Shannon Harris.
To make Gerard Cosmetics even that more tempting to us kiwi's they have free shipping on a lot of their lipsticks, which is something we struggle with in NZ! Not many brands ship for free to us and we end up paying with our soul to get the make up we want.
I recently gave in to temptation and purchased 1995 and Lilac Moon.
But first, can we just take a moment to appreciate this gorgeous packaging. Its super hard to take a photo of as its gold and shiny and reflects the light no matter what way you try to turn it. It has such a classy feel to it and and looks like you have spent a million bucks on them!
1995 -
1995 is a lipstick that is created by online youtube goddess Jaclyn Hill. It is a creamy dark brown colour that glides onto your lips easily. It has been inspired by the 90's (who doesn't love that era) and she has used it to create many different looks, such as the "Kylie Jenner Lip" look. Even though it is creamy it drys to a matte finish, which I love, but does take a good 5 minutes. Once it had completely dried I had near to none transfer onto my coffee cup.
Lilac Moon
Lilac Moon is a soft pastel lipstick that drys to a matte finish. It is a light lilac colour with violet undertones. It is a very buildable lipstick and will last for 3 hours before you need to reapply. However, because it does dry matte it is also quite drying of your lips so make sure you wear this in conjunction with your blistex.
Gerard Cosmetics is really good for posting discount codes on their instagram so keep an eye out for a deal that catches your eye. Shipping took around 2 weeks which wasn't too bad at all.
I purchased these two in a bundle that was two for $20USD so it came to around $28 NZD.
Have you used any of the Gerard Cosmetic's Lipstick's before? What do you think?

Hello doll's!
If you haven't heard about Colour pop cosmetics then you must have been living under a rock. It is all the rage lately and at only $5 USD a lipstick it makes it more appealing.
I recently gave in to the hype and brought two lippiestix - one in Lumière and one in Grind.
Lumière is a dusty mauve pink created by YouTube beauty Guru KathleenLights. Kathleen "wanted a colour that both bold and shy people could wear. It's not a nude...it would look great on EVERYONE!" and that it does! This is such a creamy lipstick that is slightly drying but nothing a swipe of blistex doesn't fix. It takes around 3-5 minutes to dry completely matte and only needs reapplying after four hours. Transfer onto my coffee cup was verrrrrry minimal.
Grind is a vivid blue violet colour which again dry's to a matte finish. To me it looks like a deep purple and takes about 3 minutes to dry. This lipstick is quite drying and I needed to reapply a lip balm a few times through out the day. I find the darker the colour by colour pop the more drying it tends to be, coincidence? Grind handles the heat very well and stay's on throughout smooching my son, drinking coffee and eating lunch.
The packaging of these lipsticks is very cute. Who said cheap meant budget?? Certainly not in this case.
I love the white boxes and shiny writing. The lipsticks are a twist up type which means you have very little wastage. I feel like these will last me a very long time!
I purchased these in a group purchase on one of those make up groups on Facebook as shipping to NZ costs $16 for the two lipsticks. BUT it backfired and I paid more for my two lipsticks than I would have paid for lipsticks and shipping alone.
Colour pop also have eye shadows and lipsticks that are satin and glossy finishes.
NZ Beauty babe ShaaanXO has a wee collection there and im sure you already knew that cause it's super popular.

Hello beauties!
I have mentioned it often this year, your skin needs to be looked after this winter and i've found some of the best skin care for you to do so.
I recently discovered the Moreish skin care range. It's all made in New Zealand, not tested on animals and every product is under $30NZD. Moreish skin care is made with delicious things such as 100% organic argin oil, rosehip, manuka honey and kiwifruit.
I was super lucky to be sent the Anew Exfoliator, Dream Night Cream, Resurgence Hand Cream and the Renew Eye Cream.
Anew Exfoliator - 75mls $20
This is my favourite out of the range so far. Ive used this three times a week and I really look forward to using it at night. It smells delicious with kiwifruit and jojoba in it which is enough of an incentive to use it alone! I like this as an exfoliator as it isn't harsh on my sensitive skin and I am left feeling fresh and clean.
Dream Night Cream - 50mls $25
I cover my face in the dream night cream after I have exfoliated three times a week. It is smooth and when I wake in the morning my skin is not tight, less dry and more smooth. This also includes a unique blend of oils and vitamins which are aimed at reducing the appearance of those lines and wrinkles.
Reawaken Eye Cream - 15mls $25
I'm always on the hunt for a good eye cream. I have tried everything from MAC to Elizabeth Arden. I have quite noticeable under eye circles and my face gets particularly dry so I was excited to try Moreish's eye cream. It's a thick cream like texture and filled with yummy things like Argan and Rosehip oil. After using this for a week I had noticed that my under eye circles were slightly less noticeable. I'm excited to see the results after long term use.
Resurgence Hand Cream - 75mls $20
I don't usually carry a hand cream around with me as I often forget to use it. This hand cream smells delicious. The scent is not over powering at all. I have used the hand cream a couple of times and it instantly softens my skin and rehydrate's my hands.
I hope you all go and grab some of this beautiful range from your local countdown. Just think how happy hour skin will be by you having all these super foods on it.
Have you seen Moreish at your local supermarket yet?
After seeing reviews of this product on one of my favourite bloggers page, I set out to find it and what a mission it was! I learnt that farmer's don't stock Covergirl and that K-mart has covergirl but not this particular foundation. I looked online and none of them had a good range of cover girl make up. So thankfully the warehouse had this one and they had 30% off. I ended up picking this up for about $13 and it normally retails at $20.
Ready, Set, Gorgeous is a medium to full coverage foundation that blends evenly into the skin and reduces shine all day. It is said to be perfect for sensitive skin and oil free.

I love the packaging of it and think the colours make it look pretty cute. The catch phrase ready set gorgeous also appeals to me as its catchy and flirty.
I got about 8 hours wear out of the foundation before I started to notice a few patches. In the ready set gorgeous range there is also a concealer and powder available which I am yet to purchase.
I would definately recommend this foundation to those with sensitive skin especially, my skin was not irritated at all by this which is pretty impressive. It's one of the cheaper foundations out there too so is very affordable.
So why wait! Go and grab this for your make up stash now!
Have you come accross this yet? What are your thoughts? xx
